Supplements the requirements to the D1.1/D1.1M Structural Welding Code as it relates to seismic provisions. It is intended to cover common applications to welded joints in Seismic Force Resisting Systems designed in accordance with the American Institute of Steel Construction, Inc. Seismic Provisions. Covers additional controls on detailing, materials, workmanship, testing, and inspection necessary to achieve adequate performance of welded steel structures under conditions of severe earthquake-induced inelastic straining.
