ADR 2025 – Agreement Concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road – 2 Volumes

The ADR is intended to increase the safety of international transport of dangerous goods by road.

The Agreement has been regularly amended and updated since its entry into force to establish international requirements and procedures for training and safety obligations of participants.

Key Features of the ADR 2025 Edition:

Annex A: Covers general provisions and specific requirements for dangerous articles and substances, focusing on correct packaging and labelling to ensure safety and compliance.

Annex B: Details the provisions concerning transport equipment and operations, emphasizing the construction, equipment, and operation of vehicles transporting dangerous goods.

Consistency with International Standards: The ADR structure aligns with the United Nations Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, Model Regulations, the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code (International Maritime Organization), the Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air (International Civil Aviation Organization), and the Regulations concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Rail (Intergovernmental Organization for International Carriage by Rail).
